如何擺脫心理煩惱

現代社會生活愈來愈忙碌,生活節奏愈來愈快速,這給人們帶來了心理上的壓力和煩惱,造成精神空虛、心情緊張與情緒不安。根據臺灣調查研究顯示,平均每4個人之中就有1個感受壓力和煩惱的人當中呈現生理疾病(如胃潰瘍、高血壓)或心理疾?。ㄈ缟硇陌Y、疏離感)的比率高達4/5;由此可見,在講究效率的現代社會中,煩惱已成為人們共同面臨而亟待解決的問題之一。
一、什么是心理煩惱
煩惱的定義,最早由舍利提出,他認為煩惱就是“身體為滿足需要所產生的一種非特定性反應”;或“生活環境不能滿足個人需要,個人學習以及經驗無法與現實生活的要求相互配合,所導致的生理或心理失去平衡的一種緊張狀態?!?br />其實,煩惱是一種復雜的身心歷程,這種身心歷程包含三大部分;
(1)任何情境或刺激具有傷害或威脅個人的潛在因素,就是“煩惱來源”,例如:與上司發生沖突、財務狀況發生重大改變、搬家、考試等等。
(2)當事人認為上述事情的刺激或情境,對于個人確實有所威脅時,此時即構成煩惱,但如認為是種解脫或樂趣而不是威脅時,則不構成煩惱,此歷程即為“認知評估”。例如:視考試為畏途即形成相當大的考試煩惱,但如視考試為自我實力的評估,并樂此不疲,則考試不會給當事人帶來太大的煩惱。
(3)引起“焦慮反應”。所謂焦慮反應是指當事人意識到他生理的健康、身體的安全、心理的健康、事業的成敗或自尊的維護,甚至自己所關心的人正處于危險的狀況或受到威脅時所做出的反應。
二、引起心理煩惱的原因
一般而言,幾乎生活中任何的改變都有可能成煩的來源,而這些煩惱的來源,都可以說是煩事件,這些煩惱事件可大致分為以下五大類:
(1)重要生活事件
生活方面的突然變動是造成煩惱的主要來源,所謂“天有不測風云,人有旦夕禍福”,由于變動得太突然,因而我們很難有效地應急處理,即使是令人興奮的改變,也會對個人的身心產生重大的影響。
(2)生活小困擾
日常生活中的小困擾,例如:約會遇到塞車、付賬時發現錢包不見了等,是任何人皆可經常遇到卻無法完全避免的事,經日積月累之后,也會造成生活煩惱。每件瑣事的嚴重程度雖不足構成危害,但累積的煩惱會對個人身心造成不良影響。
(3)災難事件
災難事件包括水災、臺風、地震、飛機失事等都會產生心理困擾與情緒反應。
(4)長期的社會事件
平常的哪些事件令人產生煩惱?人口膨脹、交通擁擠、環境污染、升學競爭等等皆可能令人產生心理上的煩惱。
(5)心理困擾
上述各類煩惱來源,多由外在的人事關系因素所造成。此外,屬于個人內在心理因素的困擾,如:個人的心理沖突、動機行為的挫折,也是形成煩的重要來源。
三、心理煩惱會給人造成的生理影響
當一個人處于煩惱狀況下,身體會發生一系列生化和生理反應,使人時刻準備行動。這種生理反應被稱為“反擊或逃避”反應。這種行為是短暫的,當威脅消失時,身體可重新回到平衡狀態。
在應激狀態中,常有人面色蒼白、手腳冰涼,那是因為血液瞬間涌向心臟和大塊肌肉,以便幫助人逃跑或應戰;瞳孔放大、耳朵豎起,那是為了增強眼睛的敏銳度和耳朵的聽力。平時爬不上的墻也爬上去了,不敢跳的溝也跳過去了,這些都是通過交感神經系統在身體內制造的系列變化所致。由于心理煩惱不那么容易消失,應激反應也會持續下去,如果不及時進行調整,身體或心理可能就要因失去平衡而致病。
心理煩惱在不同的人身上,反應也是不同的。同樣面臨某種心理煩惱,有的可能心緒不寧、容易激惹,有的可能血壓升高、頭暈眼花。個體的差異,使得同樣的心理煩惱摧毀的是不同個體的不同方面。但有一樣是相同的,那就是長時間持續的心理煩惱,可以摧毀人的身體和心理的平衡狀態,使人患病。
四、心理煩惱對心理健康的影響
煩惱所致的生理反應是相當自動和可預測的,而且在一般情況下,我們是不能用意識來控制它的。但心理反應卻不然,它是學習來的,而且常決定于我們的知覺、對事件的解釋與處理能力,心理反應包括情緒、認知及行為三方面。
(一)煩惱對情緒的影響
煩惱對情緒的影響包括從較正面的興奮到較負面的生氣與焦慮,大部分煩惱都是相當不舒服的,會帶來不愉快的情緒。以下從三個情緒反應來說明情緒與煩惱的關系。
(1)憂郁
生活中重大變動(如失去摯友、親人)都會造成憂郁。經歷一連串煩惱事件的程度是預測憂郁情緒反應的很好的指標。
(2)崩沮
長年做社人工作的人員,有一天會突然覺得無法再關心來求助的人,甚至不想見這些人,這就是崩沮現象出現。崩沮是情緒性耗竭的癥狀,這種癥狀的出現有其正面的意義,就是讓工作都知道需要休息一段時間了。
(3)創傷后異常心理
洪水、地震、空難生還者,因經歷過非常可怕的事件,造成相當大的創傷,常會對這些事件產生相當情緒性的創傷及異常心理。這種心理就是常不自主地想到那些可怕的事件,而一直重復體會那種恐懼及震驚的經歷。同時,這些人會對日常事件的情緒反應相當遲鈍,也常與別人疏離,這些經歷常使他們失眠,對生命的價值存疑,不能集中注意力。
(二)煩惱的認知反應
當一個煩惱來源被認定對個人有威脅時,智力的功能應會受到影響。一般而言,壓力和煩惱愈大,認知方面的功能及彈性思考就會愈差。人的注意力是相當有限的,如果只把焦點放在具有威脅性的事件及個人的焦慮,我們對相應問題的注意力就會大降低,威脅就更不易被消除。另外,人的記憶也會受到影響,短期記憶的好壞是根據個體對新刺激所付出的注意程度而定的。同樣地,煩惱也會干憂問題的解決、判斷與作決策的能力。因為在煩惱狀況下,我們的知覺范圍縮小了,思想也比較刻板、固執,所以很難會有創意的反應。
(三)煩惱的行為模式
面對不同程度的煩惱時,個體常會呈現不同形式的特殊行為。輕度煩惱會更多地產生一些生理性行為(如進食、攻擊及性行為),它也使個體更警覺,精力較集中而表現更好,因此輕度煩惱會導致正向的行為適應。
中度煩惱會使人注意力減弱,耐心降低,煩躁感提高,生產力降低,因此,對于需要身體各部分協調的復雜行為影響較多,產生重復、刻板的動作;我們常觀察到關在籠子里的猩猩,如一直接受中度煩惱,他們會重復搖晃、吸吮手指及繞圓圈。
高度煩惱會出現壓抑行為,甚至導致個體完全不能活動,但有時也會造成攻擊行為。對一般人而言,攻擊行為常是挫折所致,有時挫折后,人們用攻擊行為來對付造成挫折的對象,有時甚至對自己攻擊,造成許多自殺。
五、如何應對煩惱
(一)用運動改善心情
堅持運動的人會知道,運動帶給人的樂趣和活力是不容置疑的。運動有改善心情的作用,特別是戶外運動、在綠地上進行的運動、有競賽性質的運動,更能有效地解除人們的焦慮感和精神疲勞,甚至帶來一種令人欣快的感覺。
經常運動,可以有效改善精神狀態,有助于控制情緒、保持情感的穩定、精神活躍、使大腦保持靈活機動性敏。運動對人的精神狀態的改變,還行益于運動可刺激大腦加速分泌一種化學物質,這種物質可使腦細胞活躍,有興奮提神的作用。心理的慰藉和情緒的穩定,有時候可以勝過最好的藥品。
久坐不動的人和進行腦力勞動的人,容易在精神煩惱下變得焦躁不安、情緒緊張,如果每天有規律地進行30分鐘運動,散步、慢跑、快走、打球、打太極等,可以很快有所收獲。他們會感到精神煩惱減輕,身體舒展,焦慮感和緊張感大為減少。
(二)用積極地遐想自我調節
無意識的想象和有意識的愿望一樣,會在無意識中搭起一座橋梁,把你引向你所期望的或者所擔憂的未來。所以說,人的一切思想都可能變成現實。積極的想象在無意識中可以做出積極的貢獻,消極的想象同樣可以在無意識中帶來消極影響??梢岳梅e極的想象來幫助我們去除煩惱和病痛。在煩惱降臨時利用積極遐想,可以自主地利用自己的內心創造自己的世界。
焦慮癥、失眠癥、神經衰弱、抑郁癥、高血壓等,都可以借助積極遐想的方式來釋放煩惱,解除病痛。在這種狀態下,呼吸和心跳頻率會降低,氧氣消耗量下降約20%,腦電圖顯示相當于睡眠狀態。積極遐想是用內部語言,把注意力集中在積極有益的思考上面,從混亂的思維中理出頭緒來。
(三)用呼吸調適煩惱
呼吸可以讓血液得到足夠的氧氣,帶出體內代謝產物二氧化碳。不同的呼吸方式,都是緊張情緒的釋放,是自主減輕煩惱的一種方式。
學習幾種呼吸方式也是減輕心理煩惱有效方法。平和悠長地呼吸,可以將富含氧氣的血液送至大腦,讓我們在調節呼吸的過程中,釋放煩惱,達到精神放松的作用。正確的呼吸習慣,可以幫助人們減輕心理煩惱,使生理和心理都處于良好的狀態。
正確的呼吸方法是腹部呼吸(橫膈膜呼吸)。呼吸時,用鼻子緩慢地深深地使空氣鼓入腹部,這時橫膈膜下降,然后再緩慢地將廢氣呼出,這時腹部收緊,橫膈膜上抬。用腹部呼吸時,胸部的運動幅度要小一些。
